Amarillo, Texas is the major city in the Texas Panhandle. This town acts as the hub moreover for all the surrounding Texas towns. You can find everything from shopping, eateries, nightlife, and everything in between. It is one of the biggest towns in West Texas, correspondingly home to around 200,000 lovely souls. One can get to Amarillo several different ways, interstate 40 runs East and West, and highway 87 27 runs North and South. You can find Amarillo uniquely only about 88 miles South of the Oklahoma State Line.
Where is the best food in Amarillo?
In the first place, Amarillo per capita has more restaurants than most other American Cities. Equally important, you can find good unique food here. Firstly Amarillo has great BBQ. Secondly, Amarillo has a ton of Chinese restaurants. Third, and most importantly they have several holes in the joints like Coyote Bluff Cafe, and Green Chile Willy’s Grill. What are some reasons for visiting Amarillo?
Start by taking in a Sod Poodle Minor Leauge Baseball Game. Additionally, in the first place grab a tasty bite at one of Amarillo’s many restaurants. Take a walk down historic Route 66, and take in antique shops, food, and bars. I suggest the Golden Light Cafe and Cantina for great food during the day and rocking bands by nightfall. In the end, don’t forget to visit Canyon a lovely little town just south of Amarillo.

You can spot these guys and gals if you have a keen eye, most of them can seen carrying, A “Living in Texas for Dummies” book and will say odd things like “Which way is your nearest Waterburger”. There are a surprising number of places to eat in Spearman. Google says 15, if you count the Lowes, S & L Feed Store (Cows gotta eat too!), and the Dollar General. However our research says Spearman has only three places you should eat, and surprise, two of them serve Mexican food!

Tulia, Texas is a one horse down directly off of the long Amarillo Highway (good old 87). Tulia is home to some odd 5000 hardworking souls (4903 as of the 2013 census), who some where along the way wanted to live somewhere between Lubbock and Amarillo. Not a huge place, but it is God’s country, so flat, that you could watch you dog run away for days. A trip to Tulia is a trip to the Great Plains of Texas!
